Worked on the usebruno/bruno repository to enhance the robustness and performance of the request handling pipeline, focusing on back end development with Node.js and JavaScript. Addressed a specific issue by implementing a Buffer.isBuffer() guard, ensuring that interpolation is skipped for Buffer data such as gzip-compressed request bodies. This targeted bug fix prevented unnecessary data manipulation, reducing CPU and memory usage while improving reliability and throughput for diverse payloads. The solution introduced data-type-aware processing, allowing the system to handle various request formats more efficiently. Collaborated on the changes, contributing to more resilient and performant production traffic handling.
