Worked on strengthening the remote repository detachment process for the appsmithorg/appsmith repository, focusing on backend development using Java and reactive programming techniques. Addressed a critical bug by refining the reactive chain to ensure the base artifact is accurately identified during detachment, introducing explicit error handling when the artifact is missing. This approach reduced the risk of incorrect detachments and improved user feedback by providing clear error messages. The changes enhanced the reliability, safety, and observability of repository operations, making debugging and maintenance more straightforward. Demonstrated a methodical approach to error handling and change-tracking within a complex backend workflow.
