Contributed to the hashicorp/terraform-provider-azurerm repository by expanding AzureRM MSSQL support to include the next-generation General Purpose v2 service tier for Azure SQL Managed Instances. Developed and integrated the general_purpose_v2_enabled attribute, allowing users to opt into the GPv2 tier through Infrastructure as Code. This work involved backend development in Go, API integration, and updates to both tests and documentation to ensure compatibility and maintain code quality. The feature aligns the provider with Azure’s evolving roadmap, streamlining upgrade and migration paths for customers while reducing manual configuration risks in Terraform-based deployments for modernized SQL performance tiers.
