During January 2025, Spite contributed to the google-ai-edge/mediapipe-samples repository by delivering two user-facing enhancements focused on rich text communication in iOS chat interfaces. Using Swift and SwiftUI, Spite implemented Markdown rendering for chat messages with AttributedString, incorporating robust error handling and targeted code cleanup to improve maintainability. Additionally, Spite integrated LaTeX math rendering by adopting the LaTeXSwiftUI library, updating dependency management, and extending the conversation view to support technical notation. These features addressed the need for clearer, more expressive messaging, laying a solid foundation for future formatting capabilities while demonstrating depth in dependency management and interface design.
