Addressed a critical bug by updating the SHA256 checksum for version 10.16.15, ensuring that Homebrew Cask downloads and verifies the correct installer package. This fix enhanced the integrity of the installation process, reducing potential security risks from mismatched or tampered installers. Demonstrated expertise in package management and software distribution, with a focus on release engineering and checksum validation. Utilized Ruby to implement the solution, contributing to more robust macOS packaging workflows and supporting secure software delivery for ARM-based Mac environments.
