Worked on the continuedev/continue repository to maintain and enhance external API integration with Azure AI Foundry, focusing on a critical update to authentication mechanisms. Addressed a compatibility issue by upgrading the authentication header to use x-api-key for Azure-hosted Anthropics endpoints, ensuring requests were properly routed and service disruptions were avoided. Updated the API adapter and AnthropicUtils.ts to align with Azure’s new requirements, and revised the test suite to verify the new header behavior. Leveraged TypeScript for both development and testing, prioritizing production reliability and security while reducing operational risk for customers relying on AI service access.
