Worked on the GoogleCloudPlatform/cloud-foundation-fabric repository to deliver AlloyDB cross-region replication with an optional secondary read pool, enhancing data access latency and availability for distributed deployments. Leveraged Terraform and HCL to update module configurations, exposing the secondary read pool alongside the primary pool while maintaining compatibility with existing infrastructure patterns. Focused on cloud architecture principles to ensure the new feature integrated seamlessly with established module structures, minimizing disruption for users. The implementation improved redundancy and resilience for read-heavy workloads, supporting fault-tolerant and scalable AlloyDB deployments. No bug fixes were recorded during this period, with efforts concentrated on this core feature enhancement.
