Worked on production DNS configuration updates for HaloITSM within the hmcts/azure-public-dns repository, focusing on controlled CNAME changes to support new service endpoints. Leveraged DNS management and DevOps practices to introduce a new itsupport mapping to hmcts-portal.haloitsm.com and implemented domain validation using YAML-based configuration. Ensured a robust change-control process by validating updates and providing a rollback path, minimizing potential service disruption. Maintained clear traceability through documented commits and coordinated a revert to the previous DNS mapping to preserve system stability. The work improved HaloITSM accessibility while prioritizing service availability and operational reliability during the DNS transition period.
