Worked on improving the Spanish localization in the electricitymaps-contrib repository by addressing a missing translation field and correcting a typo, ensuring the Spanish language option was both complete and accurate. Focused on internationalization, the contribution enhanced the user experience for Spanish-speaking users and supported broader accessibility goals. Using JavaScript, the developer identified and resolved the localization issue through a targeted bug fix, which reduced user confusion and helped increase adoption in Spanish-speaking regions. This work represented their first contribution to the web application, demonstrating attention to detail and a methodical approach to maintaining language quality within the project’s codebase.
