Stavultras expanded OpenWrt device support in the DragonBluep/openwrt repository by unifying the U-Boot layout for Cudy DDR4 targets, enabling consistent firmware deployment across multiple WR3000 variants. Using C and Makefile, Stavultras integrated ARM Trusted Firmware Mediatek modifications to maximize NAND utilization, increasing available storage from 64Mb to 122.25Mb and supporting robust firmware upgrades. The work included standardizing device tree configurations and enhancing upgrade and recovery documentation, streamlining deployment and future device onboarding. This engineering effort improved maintainability and extended device lifecycles, demonstrating depth in Linux kernel, embedded systems, and firmware development while addressing practical deployment and upgrade challenges.
February 2026 focused on expanding OpenWrt device support for the Cudy family by delivering a unified U-Boot layout and maximizing NAND utilization across WR3000 variants. This work improves hardware compatibility, firmware upgrade resilience, and future-proofing for additional Cudy devices.
