In April 2026, delivered Substrait support for Oracle and SQL Server within awslabs/aws-athena-query-federation, including JDBC connectivity enhancements and catalog casing filters. Resolved a Too Many Connections error to stabilize JDBC connections. The changes were committed in 0ffd9c97c3c67eefc712624ee9b5142e336c3eda (Co-authored by Zhitong). This work enhances cross-database interoperability, improves reliability, and strengthens the federation path for Oracle/SQL Server users.
