During June 2025, Steren modernized the Docker image for the zed-industries/gemini-cli repository, focusing on improving container startup reliability and maintainability. He upgraded the Dockerfile to use Node.js 22 and restructured the container’s startup process by adopting ENTRYPOINT, aligning the image with current security and performance standards. This work leveraged his expertise in DevOps, Docker, and containerization, resulting in a single, well-documented commit that clearly outlined the technical changes. While the scope was limited to one feature and did not include bug fixes, the update addressed core infrastructure needs and enhanced the long-term stability of the project’s deployment pipeline.
