Worked on upgrading the integration database within the alphagov/govuk-helm-charts repository by migrating DocumentDB from version 3 to version 5. This effort focused on improving compatibility and performance while minimizing deployment risk. The approach involved updating Helm configuration values in YAML, validating the upgrade path within the deployment workflow, and ensuring a smooth transition for future migrations. The work leveraged skills in configuration management, database management, and DevOps practices, with an emphasis on careful planning and risk mitigation. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the primary focus remained on delivering this targeted architectural improvement.
