Siwei Wong developed a Custom Script Actions feature for the end-4/dots-hyprland repository, enabling users to define and invoke executable scripts directly from the search bar. Using QML and custom scripting, Siwei implemented an auto-reload mechanism with FolderListModel, allowing real-time updates as scripts are added or removed from the user’s configuration directory. The feature was designed to align with existing directory patterns, ensuring consistency and maintainability across user-configurable actions. This work focused on enhancing user customization and workflow efficiency, demonstrating depth in front end development and thoughtful integration of automation capabilities without introducing new bugs during the development period.
