During February 2025, Sunangi focused on stabilizing the Puback flow in the Azure/iot-operations-sdks repository, addressing a critical issue in the Dotnet SDK. By analyzing the concurrency mechanisms in C#, Sunangi identified and resolved an infinite tight loop that caused hangs in production systems. The solution involved resetting the _gate synchronization primitive when the message queue became empty, effectively preventing further hangs and improving system reliability. This work required deep understanding of SDK development and concurrency control, resulting in a targeted bug fix that reduced the risk of production outages and minimized potential support incidents for Azure IoT operations.
