Worked on the moltbot/moltbot repository to enhance the reliability of text processing commands by addressing a specific edge case in the shortenText function. Using TypeScript and front end development skills, implemented a guard clause that returns an empty string when the maxLen parameter is non-positive, preventing unintended shortening results and improving the stability of user-facing command outputs. This targeted bug fix reduced the risk of errors in command responses and contributed to more predictable application behavior. Maintained code quality by ensuring clear attribution and concise changes, focusing on practical improvements rather than new features during the development period.
