Worked on the alephpiece/cherry-studio repository to enhance the stability and reliability of the OpenMinerU preprocessing pipeline. Addressed ENOENT errors caused by changes in the MinerU ZIP structure by implementing a recursive Markdown file discovery mechanism using TypeScript. This solution involved updating file handling and error handling logic to support both single-level and nested ZIP layouts, ensuring compatibility across MinerU versions. The approach preserved existing API behavior while reducing manual intervention in batch PDF processing workflows. Documentation and release notes were updated to reflect these changes, contributing to improved maintainability and resilience in backend development processes.
May 2026 Monthly Summary for alephpiece/cherry-studio focused on OpenMinerU preprocessing stability and automation reliability. Delivered a robust fix for ENOENT errors by implementing a recursive Markdown file discovery in the OpenMinerU preprocessing pipeline to accommodate MinerU ZIP structure changes (from single-level to nested layouts). This required analyzing root causes, updating traversal logic, and validating across MinerU versions (including v3.0+). The change preserves existing API behavior while improving resilience and reducing downstream processing failures in PDF workflows. Release notes and internal documentation updates were prepared for the fix.
