Worked on localization for the canonical/ubuntu-desktop-provision repository, focusing on translating error messages in the Ubuntu Bootstrap application to Korean. Utilized JSON and Weblate to deliver 69.5% coverage for Provision Stage 3 Bootstrap, translating 253 out of 364 strings. The approach established a scalable workflow for future localization efforts, supporting additional languages and bootstrap stages. This work improved accessibility and onboarding for Korean-speaking users by providing clearer error messaging. The technical process involved managing translation files and integrating them into the existing codebase, demonstrating skills in localization and translation while addressing user experience challenges for non-English speakers.
