Worked on improving the login experience and context management for the giantswarm/kubectl-gs CLI tool, focusing on a targeted bug fix that enhanced reliability for both automation scripts and manual workflows. Addressed an issue where the --keep-context flag did not correctly preserve the current kubectl context during login, reducing context-related disruptions and troubleshooting overhead. The solution involved strengthening flag parsing and refining the login command’s behavior to prevent context loss and misconfigurations. Utilized Go for implementation, applying CLI development best practices to ensure robust handling of user input and context state, thereby laying groundwork for future usability improvements.
