Chen Yiyang completed a comprehensive Chinese Simplified localization update for the eclipse-sumo/sumo repository, focusing on the Python tools, application, GUI, and Netedit components. Using Weblate, Chen systematically updated and finalized translation strings, ensuring consistency and clarity across the entire stack for Chinese-speaking users. The work involved deep engagement with PO files and the localization workflow, resulting in improved accessibility and a more user-friendly interface. Although no bugs were addressed during this period, Chen’s efforts established a robust foundation for ongoing translation maintenance, supporting future updates and broadening the project’s reach within the Chinese-speaking community.
