Worked on enhancing external table recognition and UI accuracy for GreenplumExternalTable within the dbeaver/dbeaver repository, focusing on backend improvements to support Greenplum and Cloudberry integration. Developed Java logic to correctly identify and categorize external tables by recognizing relkind='f' and constructing GreenplumExternalTable instances for is_ext_table foreign tables. Extended backend dispatch and implemented comprehensive unit testing to ensure robust handling of new and regression scenarios, reducing the risk of misclassification. The work improved the discovery and management of Greenplum external tables, aligning with GP7+ requirements and strengthening database management capabilities through targeted Java development and thorough test coverage.
