Worked on upgrading the build environment for the Style Checking Tool in the Esri/arcgis-maps-sdk-samples-qt repository, focusing on improving reliability and compatibility with newer Ruby versions. The approach involved updating the Dockerfile to use a newer Alpine Linux base image and installing Ruby development headers along with Bundler, ensuring the tool could run smoothly in both CI and development environments. Leveraged skills in CI/CD, Docker, and Shell scripting to consolidate these changes, which reduced environment-related failures and streamlined the build process. The work addressed compatibility issues and contributed to more consistent and dependable automated style checks for the project.
