Worked on modernizing authentication for git-sync within the WikiTeq/Taqasta repository by replacing SSH-key based authentication with GitHub App authentication. This involved updating Kubernetes deployment configurations, specifically leveraging YAML to manage credentials through ConfigMaps and SealedSecrets. The approach enhanced security and streamlined credential rotation, laying the foundation for improved secret management across environments. Focused on DevOps and CI/CD practices, the work addressed the need for more secure and maintainable GitOps workflows. No major bugs were reported during this period, and the delivered feature established a more robust security posture for handling sensitive credentials in automated deployment pipelines.
