During February 2025, work focused on enhancing the security and deployment flexibility of the Crown-Commercial-Service/ccs-scale-agreements-service repository. The main feature delivered involved externalizing database credentials by removing hard-coded values from the application.yml file and configuring the application to source credentials from environment variables. This approach improved the security posture by mitigating the risk of credential leakage and enabled safer, multi-environment deployments. The work demonstrated skills in configuration management and database security, utilizing YAML for application configuration. No major bug fixes were recorded during this period, with efforts concentrated on secure credential management and compliant release readiness for the service.
