Worked on enhancing the static analysis capabilities of the openrewrite/rewrite-static-analysis repository by addressing a critical issue in date formatting logic. Focused on Java-based static analysis, the developer delivered a targeted bug fix that improved the ReplaceWeekYearWithYear functionality, ensuring valid week-year patterns were correctly identified and preserved. The solution involved refactoring the replacement logic for greater readability and maintainability, as well as updating unit tests to prevent future regressions. Collaboration with another contributor ensured alignment with modern coding standards. This work increased the reliability of automated code transformations and strengthened the accuracy of date handling within the static analysis pipeline.
