Worked on the lfnovo/open-notebook repository to ensure compatibility with Google’s evolving Gemini API by updating model identifiers across the backend and documentation. Migrated the application to use current, stable Gemini model IDs, removing deprecated versions to reduce the risk of runtime failures. Enhanced the backend using Python, improved test coverage, and introduced regression tests to verify model identifier validity during future changes. Updated documentation to reflect the latest API standards and deprecation timelines, streamlining onboarding and ongoing maintenance. Focused on backend development, testing, and documentation, the work established a more stable foundation for future API upgrades and project reliability.
