Worked on repository maintenance and governance within the cncf/foundation project, focusing on establishing a clear maintenance baseline rather than introducing user-facing features. Implemented a general maintenance placeholder using Git and Markdown, aligning with best practices for commit traceability and repository hygiene. The approach emphasized preparing the repository for future development by documenting maintenance intent and outlining upcoming milestones, all while ensuring no disruption to end users. This work improved governance by adopting signed-off commits and clarified the project's readiness for subsequent feature work. No bugs were addressed during this period, and the contribution centered on foundational repository management tasks.
