Worked on stabilizing the Jujutsu VFS integration within the Shopify/theme-tools repository, focusing on backend development using TypeScript. Addressed a recurring runtime error by refining how the system handles Jujutsu VFS URI prefixes during directory reads, specifically updating the hasUnsupportedDocument logic to ignore the 'jj' prefix. This targeted fix eliminated a class of fs.readDirectory failures, directly improving the reliability of theme-tools. The work enhanced both local and CI development workflows by reducing unexpected errors and improving overall tooling stability. Demonstrated attention to detail in backend systems and TypeScript codebases, prioritizing robust error handling and developer experience throughout the process.
