Worked on the RyuichiroYoshida/September repository to deliver robust multiplayer and AI-driven gameplay features over two months. Developed scalable lobby systems, real-time network messaging, and asynchronous error handling to support up to eight players, while improving user settings reliability through file locking and save-timeout strategies. Built a comprehensive Bot Management UI, enabling dynamic bot addition, removal, and character selection, and enhanced AI with unified input, state randomization, and optimized pathfinding. Addressed over twenty bugs, focusing on stability, onboarding, and in-game user experience. Leveraged C#, Unity, and algorithm design to ensure maintainable code, disciplined version control, and efficient multiplayer interactions.
May 2026 focused on delivering a robust Bot Management experience and stabilizing Bot AI behavior in the RyuichiroYoshida/September project. Key accomplishments include a fully functional Bot Management UI (add/remove bots and character selection), lobby-level Bot control, and expanded settings access from the title and lobby. AI/interactions were enhanced with exhibits interaction, unified input handling, and state/randomization to produce more natural, varied behavior. Pathfinding was optimized with post-processing simplification and performance improvements. The month also included targeted bug fixes to prevent jumping/overshooting, disable input during fall, and ensure reliable default character initialization. These changes collectively improve onboarding, reliability, and in-game UX, enabling faster iteration and higher engagement.
