Worked on the openwrt/luci repository to enhance the stability of the luci-app-dockerman Containers page by addressing a critical backend issue. Delivered a targeted Lua patch that introduced nil checks and safe access patterns for RepoDigests, preventing crashes caused by unhandled nil values during container listings. This defensive programming approach reduced user-facing errors and improved reliability in container management workflows. The work demonstrated proficiency in Lua and backend development, with a focus on integrating Docker API handling within the OpenWrt environment. The solution was minimal-risk and specifically aimed at reducing downtime and error rates without introducing new features.
