She addressed a bug in the Alerting module by refactoring the alert status calculation after alerts were sent, ensuring that success and failure counts were determined efficiently and correctly using Java stream filters. To improve maintainability, she expanded unit tests in AlertSenderTest to cover scenarios where alert plugins succeed, fail, or partially succeed, verifying robust status updates across all outcomes. Her backend development work enhanced both the reliability and test coverage of the alerting system, demonstrating depth in Java, alerting systems, and unit testing.
