Over a two-month period, contributed to the pik-piam/piamInterfaces repository by enhancing data mapping and modernizing continuous integration workflows. Developed and updated the SusMIP mapping file to support IIASA submission requirements, focusing on accurate data alignment and improved interoperability. Leveraged R and YAML to implement mapping enhancements, remove outdated files, and streamline backend data management. Upgraded the CI pipeline to R 4.5, introduced a more robust pre-commit hook, and aligned configuration with current tooling to ensure reproducibility and reduce manual intervention. Emphasized code maintenance, data validation, and system interoperability, resulting in a cleaner, more reliable development and deployment process.
May 2026 – Pik-Piam project delivery focused on stabilizing and modernizing CI for piAmInterfaces. Implemented CI Workflow Compatibility Update to run on R 4.5 and upgraded the pre-commit hook to strengthen quality checks, improving feedback speed and build reliability. The work included adding/updating the SusMIP mapping file to ensure data alignment in tests and deployments. No high-severity bugs were closed this month; the emphasis was on stability, reproducibility, and smoother upgrade paths for future cycles.
