Worked on the qmk_firmware repository to enhance encoder-based navigation by addressing a critical issue in the Opt Encoder Tiny state machine. Focused on firmware stability and user experience, the work involved correcting a bitwise operation, replacing an AND with an OR, which resolved scrolling delays and improved responsiveness. Applied C programming and embedded systems expertise to update state definitions, clarifying logic and reducing the risk of future regressions. No new features were introduced during this period, but the targeted bug fix contributed to more reliable firmware behavior, demonstrating a methodical approach to debugging and maintaining embedded firmware code quality.
