Worked on the aws-samples/aurora-dsql-samples repository to enhance reliability and maintainability by addressing a key bug in the DSQL client’s region configuration. Focused on backend development using Go and the AWS SDK, the work involved removing redundant region options during client initialization, which previously led to conflicts and misconfigurations. By streamlining the initialization flow and ensuring correct region handling through config.WithRegion, the changes reduced the risk of errors and simplified client creation for developers. This targeted fix contributed to a more stable and maintainable codebase, supporting smoother integration of DSQL samples in cloud computing environments.
