Worked on the cilium/cilium repository to enhance IPv6 validation and cloud deployment reliability by delivering two key features. Developed an IPv6 health server test using Go and Shell, mirroring existing IPv4 coverage to validate health check exposure, BPF map population, and local endpoint reporting. Improved Node Address Discovery by enabling the agent to read IP addresses from both network interfaces and routing tables, supporting correct NodePort behavior for route-assigned IPs in cloud environments such as GCE. Implemented route filtering, deduplication, and eligibility logic, leveraging expertise in networking, Kubernetes, and system programming to address complex cloud networking scenarios.
