Worked on the termux/termux-packages repository to address compatibility and stability issues in terminal tooling, focusing on shell environments. Applied expertise in bash scripting and package management to resolve a long-standing conflict in tmux Bash completion. The solution involved removing project-provided completion scripts that interfered with tmux’s native completion mechanism, aligning the package with tmux 2.17.0 and upstream standards. This targeted bug fix improved the reliability of shell completion, reduced ambiguity for users, and minimized potential support issues across diverse environments. The work demonstrated careful attention to cross-tool integration and maintenance within the Shell scripting and package management ecosystem.
