During December 2024, Tom Kim developed a Travel Path Analysis Data Processing module for the KU-BIG/KUBIG_2024_FALL repository, focusing on foundational data engineering for travel analytics. He designed and implemented a Python-based pipeline using Pandas and SQL to load and process CSV data containing consumer activity and GPS coordinates. The module filtered datasets to Gurye County and Gangneung City, preparing structured outputs for downstream visualization and analysis. This work established the groundwork for regional travel dashboards, enabling more precise user behavior insights. Tom’s contributions demonstrated practical data analysis, geospatial filtering, and modular code organization, setting the stage for future enhancements.
