
Worked on the dhis2/maps-app repository to deliver a vegetation analysis enhancement by integrating Google Earth Engine NDVI and EVI layers, leveraging MODIS data sources. Used JavaScript, React, and Redux to implement new features such as single-band selection, default and custom band naming, and descriptive metadata for vegetation layers. Developed a dedicated vegetation color scale and updated UI components and documentation to support the expanded analytical capabilities. This work enables more accurate land cover and health assessments, supporting data-driven decision-making for stakeholders. The implementation was traceable through commits and focused on improving the user experience for vegetation monitoring workflows.
