Contributed to the LibreChat repository by enhancing backend security and reliability through targeted feature development and bug fixing. Developed a JWT-based access control mechanism for shared links, shifting the default behavior to require authentication and reducing the risk of unintended data exposure. This involved refactoring configuration defaults and updating documentation to clarify secure sharing practices. Additionally, addressed a configuration loading issue in balance management by ensuring the set-balance script properly loads application settings before execution, aligning its behavior with existing scripts. Work was primarily conducted using Node.js and JavaScript, with a focus on API development, backend stability, and security best practices.
