Umida Hikmat initiated the Uzbek localization for the WeblateOrg/website repository, establishing the foundational infrastructure for future language support. She set up the initial translation framework using PO files, focusing on internationalization and localization best practices. Her work included updating translation metadata and providing the first Uzbek translation for the term "Payment card," covering five out of 726 UI strings. By laying this groundwork, Umida enabled the project to expand its accessibility to Uzbek-speaking users. The depth of her contribution was in creating a scalable baseline, ensuring that future translation efforts could proceed efficiently within the established localization workflow.
