Urvibala focused on enhancing fee data retrieval in the DefiLlama/dimension-adapters repository by migrating the backend from GraphQL to Dune queries. This transition improved the efficiency and accuracy of fee calculations, specifically for position and liquidity fees, and strengthened the underlying data-fetching mechanism. Using TypeScript and leveraging skills in API integration and backend development, Urvibala’s work reduced latency and provided more reliable metrics for dashboards and downstream analytics. The project addressed a core data pipeline, resulting in a more robust system for fee metric reporting. Over the month, the work demonstrated depth in backend engineering and data integration practices.
