Worked on the rdke-dev development stream to deliver an optional meta-layer for restricted native applications, focusing on enhancing build flexibility and maintainability within the rdkcentral/meta-application-rdke-dev repository. The solution centralized meta-layer handling in the build system configuration, allowing builds to succeed regardless of the inclusion of the new layer and enabling optional native application functionalities. This approach reduced the risk of breakage during environment changes and supported a modular architecture. The work involved close collaboration across the repository and demonstrated proficiency in Shell scripting and build system configuration, with an emphasis on code quality and maintainable engineering practices.
