Worked on aligning Custom Resource Definition (CRD) annotations for etcd clusters within the etcd-io/etcd-operator repository, focusing on compatibility with the latest controller-gen tooling. The approach involved updating CRD version annotations and maintaining metadata to match upstream standards, which helps reduce drift and mitigates upgrade risks. This work was implemented using YAML and leveraged expertise in Kubernetes and CRDs to ensure that the operator remains maintainable and future-proof. By addressing annotation alignment, the developer enabled access to new features and fixes, supporting safer upgrades and improved long-term reliability for cluster management within the Kubernetes ecosystem.
