Over a three-month period, contributed to the opensupplyhub/open-supply-hub repository by delivering features and fixes that improved security, data integrity, and deployment reliability. Leveraging Python, Django, and Terraform, implemented SOC 2-aligned controls such as immutable AWS ECR image tags, extended CloudWatch log retention, and S3 access hardening. Enhanced the CI/CD pipeline to handle immutable tag collisions and enabled vulnerability scanning for container images. Addressed attribution accuracy for promoted facility records through targeted database migrations and management commands, validated with unit tests and SQL checks. Additional work included UI/UX bug fixes and robust XLSX data import handling using React and data parsing.

June 2026: Strengthened security, observability, and data integrity across the Open Supply Hub stack, delivering SOC 2-aligned controls, cost-efficient log retention, and accurate attribution of promoted contributions. Key deliverables include (1) observability enhancements with CloudWatch Logs retention extended to 365 days and VPC Flow Logs delivered to a dedicated S3 bucket for security forensics; (2) security hardening across the stack with S3 Block Public Access enabled on the frontend bucket and critical dependencies updated to address CVEs; (3) remediation of low-risk CVEs across frontend, backend, and infra via dependency bumps and a CDN-based xlsx distribution; and (4) attribution accuracy fix for promoted Single Location Contributions, with regression tests to ensure proper ownership. Implemented via Terraform modules and containerized environments, validated with terraform plan/fmt/validate, and prepared for staged rollouts with documented Known TODOs.

May 2026: Delivered targeted UI/UX fixes, reliability improvements, and data integrity enhancements in opensupplyhub/open-supply-hub. Key outcomes include: refined embedded map field visibility to prevent stray UI elements; mitigated JS errors in the Claim flow by disabling auto-translation; and corrected percent formatting in XLSX imports with blank rows, supported by targeted tests and regression coverage. These changes reduce user confusion, prevent crashes, and preserve data quality across embedding, claim submission, and data ingestion workflows.
