Worked on the epam/ketcher repository to deliver a centralized settings architecture that streamlines configuration management across both small molecules and macromolecules modes. Developed a SettingsService in ketcher-core using Node.js, React, and TypeScript, featuring pluggable storage adapters and schema validation with AJV. The implementation included automatic migration from legacy formats, bidirectional synchronization between Core and Redux, and a new Settings dialog for macromolecules mode. Comprehensive test coverage and detailed documentation were provided to support adoption and future enhancements. All changes maintained backward compatibility, enabling easier future refactors and supporting multiple storage backends for improved reliability and user experience.
