Worked on enhancing DateTime parsing capabilities across the ruby/psych and ruby/ruby repositories, focusing on improving data reliability for tabular and log-like inputs. Addressed a bug in ruby/psych by refining the parsing logic to correctly interpret tab-separated datetime strings, ensuring accurate data representation. Developed a feature in ruby/ruby to support more flexible input formats, aligning parsing behavior between the two repositories for consistency. Utilized Ruby and Ruby on Rails to implement these backend improvements, which reduced downstream data ingestion errors and improved the reliability of timestamped analytics. Demonstrated effective multi-repo collaboration and strong backend development skills throughout the project.
