Worked on the lima-vm/lima project, focusing on improving the reliability of port-forwarding tunnels used in development environments. Addressed a critical connection leak in the gRPC tunnel implementation by introducing robust context management and cleanup procedures, ensuring that resources are properly released when connections close. This targeted bug fix reduced tunnel-related downtime and instability, directly enhancing the stability of Lima’s development workflows. Leveraged expertise in Go, gRPC, and network programming to deliver a solution that improved code hygiene and long-term maintainability. The work demonstrated a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues within a complex networked system.
