Venky Venkatesh developed and delivered a new Homebrew formula for the Ladybug embedded graph database in the gittools-bot/homebrew-core repository. The work focused on packaging Ladybug version 0.13.1 for macOS, implementing installation and automated testing procedures to ensure reliable deployments. Using Ruby and CMake, Venky aligned the formula with Homebrew’s packaging standards, emphasizing maintainability and ease of review. The technical approach included CI-friendly tests and robust package management practices, enabling faster onboarding for users and consistent installation environments. This contribution expanded Ladybug’s distribution channels and demonstrated depth in Ruby-based DSLs, package management, and automated software delivery workflows.
