Worked on the NationalSecurityAgency/ghidra repository to address a cross-platform compatibility issue affecting UNIX users. Delivered a targeted bug fix by correcting the case of the PyGhidra launcher filename to match UNIX filesystem requirements, where case sensitivity can cause launch failures. Updated the project’s documentation, written in Markdown, to accurately reflect the corrected launcher name and clarify setup instructions for users. Utilized version control best practices to ensure the changes were traceable and well-documented. This work improved the reliability of the application’s startup process on UNIX-like systems and enhanced the onboarding experience by reducing potential user confusion and errors.
