Worked on the spack/spack-packages repository to enhance package stability and upgrade guidance by implementing NPB Version Compatibility and Awareness. Developed support for NPB version 3.4.3 and introduced compatibility checks and warnings for aerial versions starting from 3.4, ensuring users are informed about potential incompatibilities. Added conflict rules to prevent unsupported aerial versions from being installed with NPB 3.4 and above, reducing install-time failures and support overhead. This feature was co-authored and addressed a specific compatibility issue, leveraging Python development skills along with expertise in package management and software versioning to improve the reliability of the package ecosystem.
